Upon learning on the search, Asuka confronts the disciplinary committee over the matter. The committee mentions a rule allowing them to confiscate suspicious items to maintain order in the school. The next day, rumours of a mermaid around and in school run rampant while Yuriko turns down Asuka's complaint and Masami almost spots Laura.
